Police Arrest Activists as Thousands Join Gaza March
Hundreds of thousands of pro-Palestine protesters took part in a rally in Whitehall after marching through central London.
The Palestine Solidarity Campaign estimated that over 500,000 people were involved in the demonstration.
- The demonstration started along Victoria Embankment and ended with speeches close to Downing Street on Saturday afternoon.
- At least 16 Youth Demand activists were arrested after Tower Bridge was blocked off.
The Met Police said officers responded to a group of Youth Demand activists blocking the famous bridge and “causing serious disruption” on Saturday evening.
