Over the past three decades, Artissima has established itself as a leading event for the Italian art market and a cornerstone of its contemporary ecosystem, bridging the gap to the wider international art world.
Launched in 1994, Artissima was part of a pivotal period in Italy's expansion into the contemporary scene, following the opening of Castello di Rivoli, the first museum entirely dedicated to contemporary art, and the founding of Fondazione Sandretto.
