Great Council of Chiefs Chairman Statement
According to Ratu Viliame Seruvakula, Chairman of the Great Council of Chiefs, no formal communication or invitation has been received from King Charles III.
The GCC Chairman stated that
no formal communication or invitation has been received from the British Monarch, His Majesty King Charles III, or through any official diplomatic channelregarding a meeting between members of the GCC and King Charles III or a visit.
Ratu Viliame noted that the GCC has taken note of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka's recent statement about a possible meeting, which is
new information to the GCC.
The GCC Chairman emphasized that
the GCC accords the highest respect to formal diplomatic processesas a matter of principle and protocol.
