NDCL Introduces Therapy Dogs to Enhance Students' Well-being
Notre Dame Cathedral Latin School in Geauga County has introduced therapy dogs to promote student well-being. The dogs make regular visits to offer comfort, connection, and a moment of peace during the busy school day.
The program features seven certified therapy dogs and their handlers, licensed through Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. and The Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Visits take place in the Learning Commons and the school courtyard on good weather days.
The therapy dogs are skilled in obedience, rally, scent-work, and therapy, providing a gentle boost to students' well-being.
The program aims to provide comfort, connection, and a moment of peace in the middle of a busy school day.
