The Sixers appeared to finally run out of energy.
Then, Adem Bona happened. It looked like the Sixers’ would lose their first game of the season, but Adem Bona refused to let that happen.
The team seemed exhausted, playing on the second night of a back-to-back, and struggled against a Washington Wizards team with a high field goal percentage, led by Alex Sarr and Kyshawn George.
Joel Embiid led the team with 25 points, but had reached his minutes restriction and was done for the night with seven minutes to go in the game and the Sixers trailing by nine.
