Coyote Attack on Dog in Pinecrest Caught on Surveillance Video
A family in Pinecrest is warning pet owners to be vigilant after a coyote attacked their dog, as captured on surveillance video outside their home.
The video shows the family's 10-year-old French bulldog, Lola, being suddenly charged by a coyote in the backyard. The dog's owners, Daniella and Vicente, described the terrifying moments to 7News.
“She comes here, he creeps up, and he runs at her,” said Vicente. “She flips upside down and then we made a noise and he let her go, he was probably going to drag her back there,”
added Daniella. The dog's owners believe that if they hadn't heard Lola's cries for help and rushed outside, the situation could have been much worse.
“If we weren’t here, he probably would have taken her; that’s what I think,”
said Daniella. The family is now warning other pet owners to be cautious when taking their pets outside.
