Sixers Bell Ringer: Sixers Storm Back to Shock Wizards in OT
The Philadelphia 76ers, still unbeaten, moved to 4-0 on the season after a stunning comeback against the Washington Wizards.
The Sixers, missing Jared McCain and Paul George, debuted Trendon Watford, who returned from a hamstring injury. Joel Embiid was back in the lineup after sitting out the previous night's game.
Tyrese Maxey had a strong start, scoring 12 points in the first quarter, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. However, the Wizards' hot shooting and the Sixers' poor defense put them in a 40-32 hole after the first quarter.
Alex Sarr led the Wizards with 13 points in the first quarter. The Sixers' comeback was remarkable, overcoming a 19-point deficit late in the game to win in overtime.
