Monday's Prep Roundup: Sedro-Woolley Volleyball Team Picks Up Win

The Sedro-Woolley High School volleyball team defeated Mount Baker 25-11, 25-17, 18-25, 25-22 in a Northwest Conference match.

"Tonight was a good win for us," Sedro-Woolley coach Shawna Tesarik said. "We definitely have things to improve on but we are happy with the win."

Sedro-Woolley's key players included Ally Tesarik with 14 kills, 11 digs, and four aces, Nakiah O’Neil with six kills, Sariah Monroe with five kills, Kai Morley with 14 assists, McKenna Edwards with 16 assists, and Ruby Hudson with nine digs.

The team's current record stands at 3-11 in conference play and 4-11 overall.

In another match, the Northwest 2B/1B League-leading Loggers beat the Lions 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.

"They were impressive right out of the gate," Concrete coach Kevik Rensink said. "I thought our girls competed well, and it made us better for the approaching district tournament. Teams like Darrington just make you better," Rensink said.
