A Toyota Highlander owner experienced an oil pressure light issue just 500 miles after a dealer oil change.
Donna Thompson Field, a member of the Toyota Highlander Owners Club Facebook page, reported that her 2023 Highlander Platinum had only 11,007 miles when she took it in for an oil change at the dealership.
"I noticed the oil pressure light flickering, so I checked the oil, and none was showing on the dipstick."
The dealership found that the drain plug had not been properly torqued during the oil change, causing the oil to leak out.
The dealership's solution was to "add oil" and clean the underside of the vehicle, but it is unclear if this is enough to prevent permanent damage.
Toyota owners should be aware of this potential issue and ensure that their oil change is done correctly to avoid similar problems.
