The upcoming state elections will focus on strengthening the check and balance in the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN), according to Chong Chieng Jen, Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak chairman.
The elections will be a fight to strengthen the voice of Sarawakians and demand greater accountability from the government, said Chong.
“With that goal in mind, our target for the upcoming state election is to contest 15 seats if the current 82 constituencies remain, or 18 seats if the number of constituencies increases to 99,”
Chong stated this during the DAP Sarawak Annual Convention 2025.
