A car crash on Saturday morning led to a power outage affecting thousands of residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley.
According to Puget Sound Energy, more than 5,400 customers lost power, with over 1,000 still without power as of 1 p.m.
The Sedro-Woolley police said the motor vehicle crash likely led to the large power outage.
The outage also affected traffic lights, with some intersections having battery-powered lights and others without.
