ECG Improves Supply Reliability in Ashanti
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has undertaken a comprehensive maintenance exercise to correct defects on key transmission lines in the Ashanti region.
The exercise, carried out by the Ashanti Sub-Transmission team, aims to restore the power system to its original integrity and ensure optimum performance of transmission assets.
- Tightening loose fittings
- Replacing damaged insulators
- Clearing vegetation along the right-of-way
- Rectifying conductor sags identified during line patrols
Managing Director of ECG, Ing. Kwame Kpekpena, tasked the team to intensify maintenance and reliability-focused interventions to guarantee uninterrupted and quality power delivery to customers.
