Police Inspector Given Life Imprisonment for Murder
A high court in Kumasi has sentenced Inspector Ahmed Twumasi, a police officer, to life imprisonment for the murder of his 26-year-old girlfriend, Victoria Dapaah.
The court found Inspector Twumasi guilty by a 5-2 jury verdict on October 24, 2025, for fatally shooting Dapaah multiple times on April 20, 2023, after a misunderstanding.
Inspector Twumasi, a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT), will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Victoria Dapaah, also known as Maa Adwoa, was a mother of one.
