Lakers' Jaxson Hayes Sits Out Against Timberwolves
The Lakers were down another big man for Friday night's home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Jaxson Hayes was ruled out due to left knee soreness.
Hayes played 14 minutes in the season-opening loss to Golden State on Tuesday, recording four points and six rebounds. With Maxi Kleber sidelined, Hayes was the primary backup big man behind starting center Deandre Ayton.
Coach JJ Redick said Hayes was being downgraded to unavailable after being listed as questionable Friday morning. The Lakers made two-way center Christian Koloko available against the Timberwolves.
