Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern Recognizes Exceptional Geothermal Projects

The Praxisforum Geothermie Bayern event in Pullach, Germany, acknowledged outstanding geothermal heat and power projects and research work.

Two exceptional geothermal plants, a key figure in geothermal development, and a pioneering research project were recognized during the event organized by Enerchange.

New records for heat generation from geothermal energy were also highlighted, with the 24 geothermal plants in Bavaria collectively delivering around 3.4 TWh of heat in 2024, a 20% increase from the previous year.

Using one kilowatt-hour of electricity can produce 40.5 kilowatt-hours of heat.
