Canada Cancels Ukraine Military Contract
Conservatives argue that cancelling the contract may make Canada appear as an unreliable ally to Ukraine and undermine commitments to strengthening the domestic defence industry.
The federal government has refused to disclose the reason behind the cancellation of a contract for refurbished military vehicles for Ukraine with Armatec Survivability, a Canadian company.
Defence Minister David McGuinty stated that his department had cancelled the contract, but couldn't explain the reason behind the decision.
