Adding Driver's License to iPhone
Residents of certain U.S. states can add their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on their iPhone and Apple Watch.
This feature provides a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age at select airports and businesses, and in select apps.
Requirements
To add a driver's license to the Wallet app, you need an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.5 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 9.5 or later.
Setup
To set up the feature, open the Wallet app, tap on the plus sign in the top-right corner, select Driver's License and ID Cards, and follow the steps.
Available States
- 11 U.S. states offer driver's licenses in the Wallet app
- Puerto Rico also supports this feature
