'No Kings': Bay Area Protests Against Trump Administration
Thousands of protesters flooded the streets across the Bay Area on Saturday as part of national "No Kings" demonstrations against the authoritarianism of President Donald Trump.
The demonstrations come amid growing concerns of President Donald Trump deploying the National Guard to San Francisco and other cities.
The mood at the San Francisco demonstration was one of peaceful determination, with
"The people united will never be defeated"
being shouted by protesters.
- Marchers packed Market Street for several large city blocks.
- Homemade signs read "Dethrone The Don", "Hands Off Our Democracy", "I Like My ICE Crushed", "You Can't Gaslight The Constitution", and "This Is Not An Insurrection".
- No arrests were associated with the demonstrations, according to San Francisco Police spokesman Robert Rueca.
