More than 1,100 homes in the Ringtown area were left without electricity Monday morning due to a power outage caused by weather conditions.
According to PPL Electric Utilities, approximately 1,170 customers were affected by the outage as of 7:30 a.m. Utility crews were dispatched to assess and repair the damage, with service expected to be restored by 2:00 p.m.
The company attributed the outage to weather conditions that moved through the region overnight, disrupting service to a wide portion of the area.
In other news, a Lavelle man is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, following a violent altercation in Butler Township. Additionally, a Minersville woman is wanted in Schuylkill County after being declared an absconder in two separate cases.
