US Federal Judge Orders ICE to Wear Body Cameras in Chicago

A US District Judge, Sara Ellis, has ordered federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to wear body cameras during enforcement activities and interactions with the public.

This order follows a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) issued by Judge Ellis last week and will be in effect until November 6.

I live in Chicago if folks haven’t noticed. And I’m not blind.

Judge Ellis stated that she was prompted to issue this modified restraining order due to doubts about ICE's compliance with the original TRO, citing news coverage of ICE actions that appeared to violate the order.
