Oxford welcomes school pupils and teachers from twin city

Oxford Welcomes Polish School Pupils and Teachers

Oxford has hosted pupils and teachers from a Polish school as part of the Polish Culture Festival.

A group of 23 from Jakub Jasiński High School No. V in Wrocław visited from September 19 to 21 to highlight the value of city twinning.

Oxford is a global, outward-looking city and was among the first to begin city twinning after the Second World War.

Councillor Louise Upton, Lord Mayor of Oxford, emphasized the city's championing of the twinning movement since its inception.

A notable symbol of this partnership is the Życzliwek statue, located in Oxford's Covered Market, representing kindness and friendship between partner cities.
