Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Adam Cervera to the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) Board of Directors.
I’m excited to help our student athletes reach their full potential, on and off the field.
Cervera, a shareholder at Becker & Poliakoff, was previously appointed to the Broward County School Board six months ago. The FHSAA Board of Directors is responsible for hearing appeals, setting budgets, enacting policies, and overseeing statewide athletic competitions.
The appointment is pending Senate confirmation. Cervera expressed his honor to take on the added responsibility, stating that he believes in the power of sports to shape character and bring communities together.
