The new film "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You" brings a comedic nightmare to the big screen, directed by Mary Bronstein and starring Rose Byrne.
Before the film's screening at the Toronto International Film Festival, Rose Byrne advised the audience to imagine the worst day of their life to get into the proper mindset for the film. She said:
Hold that feeling, and let it carry through the acerbic, tense and hilarious experience that will follow.
Byrne plays Linda, a mental health counsellor whose life is falling apart. The film opens with an uncomfortable scene where a doctor chides her for not doing enough to help her daughter heal from a mystery illness.
The film then takes a turn for the worse, with each scene presenting a new obstacle for Linda to deal with.
Author's summary: A comedy film about a bad day.
