Coco Gauff Wins Wuhan Open Final
Coco Gauff defeated Jessica Pegula 6-4, 7-5 in the Wuhan Open final, marking her 22nd main-draw victory in China over the past three years.
Gauff dropped just 16 games en route to the final, beating Moyuka Uchijima, Zhang Shuai, Laura Siegemund, and Jasmine Paolini.
In the final, Gauff took a 3-0 lead, but Pegula leveled at 4-4. Gauff broke Pegula to clinch the opening set 6-4.
In the second set, Pegula led 3-0, but Gauff recovered to 3-3 and later overcame another break deficit to win 7-5.
