Canadian Passport Overtakes US in Visa-Free Access
According to the Henley Passport Index, Canada now ranks 9th in terms of visa-free access to countries, surpassing the US.
Previously, both countries were tied at 7th place, but the US has fallen behind due to reciprocal policies imposed by other countries in response to new US visa restrictions.
- Canadians can access Belarus, Papua New Guinea, and Uzbekistan without a visa.
- They can also skip the visa requirement upon arriving in Bolivia and Rwanda.
Henley and Partners has issued the ranking for two decades, grouping countries together when they have access to the same number of countries.
