Construction of 1GW Stargate AI Cluster in Abu Dhabi Underway
G42 announced that the construction of Stargate UAE, a 1-gigawatt artificial intelligence infrastructure cluster in Abu Dhabi, is well underway.
The project, led by Khazna Data Centers, a G42 company, has entered advanced construction, marking a major step toward the UAE's goal of building one of the world's largest AI infrastructure hubs.
- The facility is part of the 5GW UAE-US AI Campus and is scheduled to go live in 2026.
- Civil, structural, and architectural work is well advanced, while mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are being finalized.
- All long-lead equipment has been procured, and the site has received its first mechanical system deliveries.
Stargate UAE is designed to serve as the cornerstone of the country's national AI infrastructure.
