Irving's Reinvention: A Review of Tim Burton's 'Sleepy Hollow'
Tim Burton's 1999 film "Sleepy Hollow" is a loose spin-off of Washington Irving's 1820 short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The film follows Constable Ichabod Crane, played by Johnny Depp, on his 1799 journey to Sleepy Hollow from New York City.
