Rise and Shine at 6th & G
As someone who doesn't typically eat breakfast, I like to go big when I do. Recently, I took my teenage daughter to 6th & G Breakfast Co., the latest project by Rise and Shine Hospitality Group.
The location, 695 6th Avenue in downtown, is great and used to be one of my favorite restaurants, Double Standard Kitchenette. The new spot has a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of Wes Anderson, with eclectic art and fun books on display.
Whoever conceived of this place, it most certainly was not their first rodeo.
The decor features pink coffee cups and saucers, as well as purple, textured goblets for water glasses, adding to the spot's funky vibe.
