Chattanooga Residents Frustrated by Brush Pickup Delays
Residents and city council members in Chattanooga are expressing frustration over the ongoing backlog of 311 calls, resulting in delayed brush pickup services.
Piles of brush continue to accumulate outside homes across the city, with nearly 2,300 brush service requests pending as of the end of September, according to the city.
Councilman Dennis Clark attributed the issue to management problems, while Chattanooga public works spokesperson Errol Williams cited high demand, staffing shortages, and issues with a 311 software upgrade as reasons for the delays.
