Parolee Seeks Lighter Sentence for Reckless Driving
A 32-year-old man from Shellharbour, Trent Arndell, was jailed for his "extraordinarily dangerous driving" after reaching speeds of up to 160km/h through Primbee.
According to court documents, Arndell was seen by police tearing through Windang, Primbee, and Warrawong, exceeding the signposted speed limits on the morning of September 19.
- Overtaking multiple vehicles at or near the 60km/h limit on Windang Road
- Merging across two lanes and cutting off other motorists at an estimated speed of 90 to 100km/h
- Tailgating another vehicle in the middle lane
His driving was described as "extraordinarily dangerous" and he was jailed for his actions.
Arndell will argue that his sentence is too harsh.
