Jasmine Paolini's Remarkable Year in Asia
Jasmine Paolini, Italy's sensation on the WTA Tour, continues her impressive Asia stretch with two deep runs, with two WTA Finals spots up for grabs.
Paolini was already having an exceptional year before September, and it got even better for her. The Asia stretch closes out the seasons for both the ATP and WTA Tours, with main events still to be played in China and Japan.
Paolini, set to begin play at the AUX Ningbo Open in China, has already made good on her time there, and there's a good chance she isn't done yet. In late September, Paolini and her doubles partner, Sara Errani, captured the China Open in Beijing, their fourth title together this year.
As Paolini reflected on her achievements, her doubles titles with Errani include wins in Rome and Doha, but their most significant achievement came at Roland Garros, their first Grand Slam victory together.
Paolini's performance in Asia has been impressive, with a strong chance of securing a WTA Finals spot.
