Saleshando Calls for Accountability on Health Emergency
Leader of Opposition Dumelang Saleshando has called on President Duma Boko to provide accountability for declaring a State of Public Health Emergency, labeling it as "mere drama".
Saleshando expressed concern that the declaration was made immediately after the Parliament winter session.
We seem to have a trend of a national president who acts alone on very important national issues and remember as Parliament our duty is to provide oversight on the conduct of the executive.
Saleshando warned that this move undermines the legislative's power and decisions made by the executive without oversight could lead to negative consequences.
