Can an AI Data Center be 'Green'?
Despite efforts to be environmentally friendly, AI data centers face significant energy challenges.
In southwest Wyoming, a new AI data center from Prometheus Hyperscale is being planned, with the company's founder and CEO, Trenton Thornock, seeking to power it in an eco-friendly way.
"I spent most of my summers in Wyoming riding north of the interstate here, moving cattle,"
said Thornock, whose family has been ranchers on the land for six generations. To address energy concerns, Thornock is exploring the use of solar panels, measuring sunlight at the site to determine the best angle for maximum energy production.
