California Cops Banned from Concealing Police Killings
A new law in California will put an end to a deceptive policing tactic used against families of people killed by police.
According to the legislation, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, investigators must inform families of what happened to their loved one before questioning them.
- Investigators are barred from lying to families or pressuring them into consenting to interviews.
- Families will be allowed to bring a support person to interviews.
