Diocese of Lexington Launches Net-Zero Plan

The Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky, has developed a plan to make all its buildings net-zero by 2030, inspired by Pope Francis' 2015 encyclical Laudato Si'.

The plan includes all properties in 50 counties, spanning 59 parishes in the diocese.

The earth and all in it belongs to God.

This initiative is a direct response to Laudato Si', which called on the global Catholic Church to address environmental challenges.

Author's summary: Diocese of Lexington plans to go net-zero by 2030.
