Postal Service delays are making the already tight newspaper business even harder.

Postal Service Delays Impact Newspaper Business

Subscribers are experiencing delays of up to two months in receiving their newspapers.

Jill Friesz, owner of GS Publishing, which operates seven weekly newspapers in North Dakota, has faced frustrated subscribers. One subscriber visited her office, expressing his anger and disappointment over the constant delays.

“He was telling me he was tired of my excuses and that he may as well just quit subscribing to the paper,”

Friesz has received numerous complaints from subscribers who are fed up with the unreliable delivery.

“I have so many frustrated people that call and just say, ‘Well, there’s no point in me getting the newspaper because it never gets delivered to me,’”
