Greater Dandenong City Council has been recognised for its strong commitment to sustainability, winning the 2025 Cities Litter Award. The award was presented at the 43rd Annual Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria Tidy Towns and Cities Sustainability Awards.

'Bin It or Take It Home With You' Campaign

Greater Dandenong’s Waste Services Team earned the award for their campaign educating the community about proper litter disposal and raising awareness of its environmental impact.

“This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our Waste Services Team, not just for this project, but for the work they do every day,” said Sanjay Manivasagasivam, City Futures Executive Director.
