Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Broadway Revival of Proof

Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.

Grammy nominee Jin Ha returns to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show opens at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.

Samira Wiley’s Theater and Television Career

A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently appeared at London’s Donmar Warehouse in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She also performed in the National Theatre’s production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.

On television, Wiley is known for her role as Poussey Washington in Netflix’s Orange is the New Black. She also starred in Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, winning the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and receiving three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Jin Ha’s Stage and Screen Highlights

Ha debuted on Broadway in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. In 2018, he played Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, sharing a Grammy Award nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
