Gospel Reflection - Sunday, November 9, 2025

Jesus cleansed the temple, courageously confronting corruption with prophetic zeal—an act that marked the beginning of his journey to crucifixion.

Vision of Flowing Water

Then he brought me back to the temple entrance, where water flowed from beneath the temple threshold toward the east (as the temple faced east). The water came out below the south end of the temple's threshold, south of the altar.

Next, he led me outside the temple by the north gate, guiding me around to the outer gate facing east. There, water was flowing out on the south side.

“This water flows toward the eastern region and descends into the Arabah. When it enters the sea, the sea of stagnant waters, it becomes fresh. Wherever the river flows, every living creature will thrive, with many fish once these waters arrive. It will become fresh, and all life will flourish along the river.”

Abundant Life Along the River

On the riverbanks, on both sides, all kinds of fruit trees will grow. Their leaves will never wither, nor will their fruit fail. They will bear fresh fruit every month because the water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will provide food, and their leaves will offer healing.

“Therefore, we will not fear, even if the earth changes, the mountains shake in the heart of the sea, the waters roar and foam, or the mountains tremble with tumult.”

This vision symbolizes renewal, hope, and the sustaining power of divine grace amid life's upheavals.
