Paul Rodgers to Miss Bad Company's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Paul Rodgers, the original singer of English rock supergroup Bad Company, will not attend the band's 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction due to health concerns. He was expected to perform alongside drummer Simon Kirke at the ceremony on Saturday.

Health-Related Absence

“My hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health,”

Rodgers announced in a statement shared on Bad Company’s Instagram page.

Performance Plans and Replacement

Although Rodgers had planned a stage reunion with Simon Kirke to perform a few songs, Kirke and other talented musicians will perform in his place. Rodgers assured fans:

“Simon along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me — guaranteed to rock.”

Background on Rodgers' Health

Though Rodgers did not specify his current condition, he previously revealed to CBS News in 2023 that he endured two major strokes in 2016 and 2019, plus 11 minor strokes. These events temporarily affected his speech. He added,

“I have no problem singing, it’s the stress of everything else.”
