The soundtrack for 28 Years Later will be available on vinyl starting December 19 through Milan Records. Composed by the Scottish progressive hip hop group Young Fathers, known for their work on T2 Trainspotting, the album is a 2xLP pressed on translucent red vinyl and comes in a gatefold jacket with printed sleeves.
“The Scottish progressive hip hop group bring an electrifying blend of original vocal tracks and instrumental score to the album,” Milan Records states.
The album features popular tracks such as “Promised Land,” “Causeway,” and “Boots,” the latter of which incorporates the chilling words of Rudyard Kipling’s wartime poem.
28 Years Later marks the reunion of director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland for the highly anticipated third installment of the post-apocalyptic horror series. The franchise began with 28 Days Later in 2002 and continued with 28 Weeks Later in 2007.
The story is set nearly three decades after the rage virus escaped a biological weapons lab. In a world still under strict quarantine, some survivors have adapted to life among the infected. One such community resides on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily fortified causeway.
Author's summary: The 28 Years Later soundtrack, composed by Young Fathers, will be released on vinyl featuring distinctive red records and tracks that enhance the third chapter of the iconic horror series.
