Embark Studios has made a strong debut with its new multiplayer extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, which reportedly sold 1.6 million copies within the first three days after launch. The game also reached a peak player count of 354,836 just a day after release.
According to Steam analytics site Gamalytic, Arc Raiders generated approximately US$61.1 million in revenue based on these sales. However, this figure only accounts for PC sales and does not include console versions, so total sales are expected to be significantly higher.
The opening weekend was marked by technical difficulties due to the large player influx, with over 300,000 concurrent users causing matchmaking and login problems. At one point, servers went offline for several hours before being restored by the developer.
To apologize for the issues and thank players for their support, Embark Studios offered 500 Raider Tokens to everyone who logged in during the launch weekend. The announcement was made on X, where the developers humorously admitted the servers “had a wobble” on Sunday, mentioning,
“Scrappy must’ve pecked a few wires loose.”
The post continued,
“As a token of our thanks, we’re sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday (2 November).”
Despite early server challenges, Arc Raiders launched successfully with strong sales and active player engagement, supported by developer gestures to maintain community goodwill.
