The LIV Golf Promotions event is scheduled for January 2026, and players on the DP World Tour will not need to request permission to participate. The tour has made it clear that its members are not expected to face sanctions if they choose to play in this event.
LIV Golf announced that the third edition of their Qualifying School (Q-School) will take place from January 8-11, 2026, at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Florida. Previously, this event was held in the Middle East.

A spokesperson for the DP World Tour confirmed there is no requirement for a release application from players wishing to compete in the LIV Golf event, provided there is no scheduling conflict with DP World Tour tournaments.
