Antonio Brown Appears in New Jersey Court Amid Extradition

Antonio Brown faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon in Florida. He is accused of firing a gun at another man in May.

Brown’s return to South Florida on the attempted murder charge was arranged after he waived his right to fight extradition during a New Jersey court hearing on Friday.

An Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail that Brown appeared before Judge Kevin Barry and chose not to contest his extradition to Miami, where the incident allegedly took place.

Earlier reports from TMZ highlighted the hearing, noting that Brown was extradited earlier that week from Dubai, where he had lived for several months as shown in his social media posts.

The 37-year-old former NFL star was held at Essex County jail pending the last stage of his transfer to South Florida, according to the prosecutor's office.

Despite being in US Marshals custody in New York, Brown’s social media remained active, promoting cryptocurrency sites and an online sportsbook. One Instagram post on Friday stated:

God is good.
