The 1984 comedy Ghostbusters may seem rude, weird, and surprisingly adult for a family movie, yet it became one of the biggest hits of the decade. It begins almost like a joke: three parapsychologists lose their university funding and accidentally start a revolution in paranormal comedy.
The Unlikely Ghost Chasers

With the addition of Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson), a down-to-earth newcomer, they become a full-fledged ghost-catching team equipped with homemade nuclear-powered tools.
