Tragedy has struck the hip-hop community as No Limit rapper Young Bleed passed away at age 51 following complications from a brain aneurysm. The artist, best known for his classic track “How Ya Do That,” died on Saturday, November 1st.
The news was confirmed by his son Ty’Gee Ramon, who shared that his father “gained his wings.” Ramon also explained that Young Bleed had not suffered any serious health issues before, apart from high blood pressure which he managed with medication.
“My dad was 51 years old when this happened to him. My dad was never in and out of the hospital… This is something you can’t prepare for.”
Celebrated for his smooth Louisiana drawl and lyrical skill, Young Bleed was regarded as one of the most talented artists to emerge from No Limit Records. His album My Balls and My Word remains a staple in Southern rap, often praised as one of the genre’s most underrated works.
Amid the news and public speculation, Young Bleed’s sister Teedra Johnson-Spears requested privacy for their family during this difficult time.
“If you have not called his mother personally, please do not post about him. Our family asks that you respect our privacy and hold all calls and texts at this time. He is still currently in ICU and his mother asked if you all would respect her wishes and not make any RIP posts.”
Young Bleed’s sudden death at 51 left the hip-hop world mourning a Louisiana legend whose poetic voice shaped Southern rap and whose family now seeks peace and privacy.
