The first preview of Avengers: Doomsday is set to arrive sooner than expected. According to Collider, audiences will see the trailer ahead of screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash. James Cameron’s third installment in the Avatar saga, which introduces Pandora’s Ash People, premieres in theaters on December 19.
This means the first glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday will come almost exactly one year before the film’s own release, scheduled for December 18, 2026.
For context, the Avengers: Infinity War trailer debuted roughly six months before its release, while Avengers: Endgame waited even longer, offering its first footage five months ahead of premiere. Those teasers revealed little beyond the opening act of the film.
Whether a full-year lead time reflects Marvel Studios' confidence in Doomsday remains uncertain, yet it will undoubtedly ignite considerable speculation about a project that has been kept largely secret.
Confirmed details include the return of Robert Downey Jr., alongside stars from Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts. Multiple MCU heroes and iconic X-Men characters will also appear. The entire cast was unveiled in March during a marathon six-hour livestream event.
Gambit actor Channing Tatum recently fueled fan excitement, saying that Avengers: Doomsday could be "the biggest film of the decade."
The early debut of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer with Avatar: Fire and Ash signals Marvel’s ambitious promotional push and reignites speculation about its star-studded crossover cast.
