Drugs mule Lindsay Sandiford could walk straight BACK into jail

Drugs Mule Lindsay Sandiford Could Face Immediate Imprisonment Upon Return to UK

Yesterday, Lindsay Sandiford, a 69-year-old grandmother, was seen leaving Kerobokan Prison in a wheelchair. She had been detained for smuggling cocaine worth £1.6 million.

Indonesian officials revealed that after spending 12 years on death row in Bali for drug offenses, Sandiford might be sent back to prison as soon as she returns to Britain.

Indonesia's deputy minister for immigration and correctional coordination stated:

In England, she will remain in prison.

The British Foreign Office has not confirmed or denied this statement.

Sandiford left her prison cell shortly after 2 pm GMT with another British inmate, 35-year-old Shahab Shahabadi, serving a life sentence for drug crimes. They were briefly shown to local media before being handed to British diplomats at the airport for their return to the UK.

Wearing a face mask and avoiding photographers, Sandiford was escorted to Denpasar International Airport, where she boarded a Qatar Airways flight to London via Doha.

Notably, it was at this same airport in 2012 that she was publicly displayed in orange prison clothes next to a table of cocaine.

Summary

Lindsay Sandiford, after 12 years on death row in Bali for cocaine smuggling, may go straight back to prison upon her return to the UK, reflecting the serious consequences of her drug offenses.
