Mild and breezy conditions will persist through Friday before a weekend storm brings cooler temperatures. FOX 32's Mike Caplan provides today’s weather overview.
The mild November pattern continues for the rest of the workweek. Today will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny, with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be lighter than yesterday but will increase tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight, lows will remain in the upper 50s, close to the typical high for this season. Tomorrow is expected to be the third consecutive day with highs above 60°F, combining clouds and sun, with gusty winds reaching up to 30 mph.
Thursday will be dry with highs in the mid to upper 50s as the next storm system approaches. From Thursday night into Friday morning, showers and possibly some embedded thunder will move across the area.
After the morning showers on Friday, the day will be breezy and mild again, with highs near the lower 60s.
The next storm will arrive around Saturday afternoon, bringing more showers and cooler temperatures in the lower 50s. A much colder air mass is expected on Sunday.
Precipitation should end by Sunday morning and clear out well before the Bears game.
"There is much ballyhoo already about potential snow arriving Sunday or Monday and here’s what I will say about that: The US model has scaled back its ridiculous snowfall prediction from yesterday."
Mike Caplan advises cautious optimism regarding the snowfall forecast amid changing model predictions.
The mild late-week weather gives way to a weekend storm and cooler air, while snow chances for Sunday remain uncertain as models adjust predictions.
