Prince Harry has rejected claims that his recent announcement about a visit to Canada was intended to overshadow Prince William’s trip to Brazil for the Earthshot Prize tour.
"The Duke of Sussex’s spokesman has dismissed any suggestion that his announcement was connected to sibling rivalry."
According to Harry’s representatives, the timing of the announcement was determined by security limitations rather than competitive motives.
"He is not afforded the same level of security and protection as other working members of the Royal Family. This means the period in which we can release details of events is much more restricted than it is for His Majesty the King or the Prince of Wales."
The Prince of Wales arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Monday to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Earthshot Prize. As William began his activities at Sugarloaf Mountain, Harry’s office in California revealed plans for his visit to Canada later in the week, ahead of Remembrance Sunday.
Prince Harry’s team insists his Canada visit announcement was driven by security constraints, not rivalry with Prince William during the Earthshot prize tour.
